Abstract

Hemos leído con particular interés el artículo “Identificación de micobacterias no tuberculosas en red de agua potable domiciliaria en la Región Metropolitana de Chile”, recientemente publicado en la Revista Chilena de Infectología. Reconocemos la relevancia del estudio, considerando la creciente importancia de las micobacterias no tuberculosas (MNT) como patógenos oportunistas y su reconocida capacidad de colonizar sistemas de distribución de agua.
